Naw-Ruz, which occurs on the Vernal Equinox, is my favorite spring celebration.
Voices raise in thanksgiving and praise,
Echoing the prayers revealed by Baha'u'llah,
Rejoicing in the coming of a New Year:
Naw-Ruz (New Day) - celebrates springtime
As a metaphor for God's promise kept -
Laughter and singing reverberate through my soul.

Each celebration brings answers to deeper
Questions about birth, death and resurrection;
Until my body takes its last breath, all of my
Inquiries will not be satisfied, my questions answered. For
Now I celebrate spring by intoning the Naw-Ruz prayer1,
Offering gratitude and practicing
Xenodochy2.
