acrostic poem for spring |
| Thankful for the freshness in the air! Horizons turning pink from new warmth, Experiencing blessings of spring. Vanished grey grounds Exposing sprouts of new life. Rushing waters escaping the hands of frost; Youthful saplings preparing for nesting. Blushes of crocuses-the first to bloom. Resting high above; a Robin-a new mom; Excitement with hopes of what will come. After the harshness of winter winds, Time for birds to spread their wings. Heather in mounds will dance, standing still. Oh-the glory of the breath of spring! Frolicking with shouts of delight. Sweetness lingers under my nose, Picking lilacs comes to mind. Relishing in the breath of spring! Inspired to plant seeds in the ground Nourished by droplets of rain- Glorious-inhaling the breath of spring! 21~lines |
