This article is a work of fiction of people living under the sea.
|The Maharucians lived under the sea. They had gills attached under their faces by which they converted water into oxygen for breathing. Life was perfect below the sea surface. They had their home off the coast of Madagascar. Madagascar is rich in flora and fauna. The land is also detached from the other continents. These people were human like with hands and legs. They swam like us and lived off marine animals and plants on the ocean floor. Every now and then they would surface and breathe pure air. Most would stay underwater and hunt for fish and other small creatures on the ocean floor. Their homes were in the caves found on the ocean floor. Women like men hunted for fish and plants for feeding their young. They lived like animals with no need for education, a livelihood or other occupations. The sea was abundant with marine life and they made the most of it. They ate fish raw and hence had teeth that were strong and sharp. Many lived lives similar to early man and were food gatherers. The young too joined their fathers and uncles in food gathering. The plants on the ocean floor were edible to them and they would gorge on it. No humans had any knowledge of them and their life was carefree. Many would once in a while swim to the shore to bask in the sun. They would relish the feel of the waves. Life was perfect for them as they loved the sea.
