A short poem written about the prompt "a thought-provoking question". Love some feedback!
Why do I often find you
surveying the moon
with such desperate attraction,
only to see you turn away
from its whisper soft rays
of ambient white light,
allowing your frigid feet
to stumble forwards,
embracing the subtle call
of the murky darkness
pervading the shadows
that always stand before you?
