A poem written for the Pink Fluffy Unicorn Contest. 14 lines
|Pink fluffy unicorn prancing in my head,
You helped keep me laughing through the things of life I dread.
When my smile turned upside down ,
I would close my eyes to watch you dance around.
You were always pink, not red,
With me hiding in my bed.
Your hair so soft and fluffy,
Better than a cute, sweet puppy .
Though now I’m getting older ,
And life is as hard as a boulder.
I can think back to the time
When you were more than a simple rhyme.
In my childhood you were born, ,
I love my pink fluffy unicorn .
14 lines a cross between free verse and a sonnet, I think, if that is possible.
