Going about in pursuit of love.
I GO ABOUT

Though I know love is ill-fated,
treasuring it I go about.

A few letters, couplets, photos,
cherishing these I go about.

Lost in the thoughts and woes of love,
like an insane I go about.

With an image, in her eyes, of
a worthless chap, I go about

Though she has turned away from me,
chasing her still, I go about.

Writing these couplets in my tears,
on path of love, I go about.

She’s tender like flowers; she gave
me wounds with which I go about.

Trying to reach the goal of love
with chains in feet, I go about.

Please don’t chide me for my travails;
I’m mad in love, I go about!
