An exhortation to introspect.
WHO ARE YOU, YOUNG MAN, JUST THINK


Who are you, young man, just think
what is the purpose of life?
Is it to be killed, or kill
in a vain Jihadi strife?

Did Quran teach you all this?
Who taught you to maim others
in the name of religion?
The humanity suffers.

Why target innocent girls,
denying education?
Why banish songs and music?
Why promote isolation?

Why not mingle with others?
Why not let others, too, live?
Why plunder others’ fortunes?
Why not help to others, give?
