When you look into my eyes,
tears hidden in sapphire wells,
afraid to rain in sorrow’s storm,
do you see me?

When I sit alone looking out the window,
not wanting to go out into the world,
no more able to trust in anyone,
do you see me?

When you hear me speaking,
feeling what’s in the depths of my heart,
knowing the truth of my words,
do you see me?
