If we are not immortal, forever has no meaning...
Time is the infinite guest
grim and deceiving,
Guardian of the quest
we're hopelessly seeking,
Truth ticks away to confess
death endlessly fleeting,
Dignity we all possess
forever has no meaning,

Youth chooses the illusion
an inevitable end,
Time laments the movement
the hourglass defends,
Grasping for, it eludes them
slipping through their hands,
Emptiness here to amuse them
a dream's invisible friend,

To the future forever fades
portioned hours are past,
Fortuned in perpetual change
an eternal die is cast,
Memories of, that pass away
immortality has,
For if ever, surrenders the day
time's an unbreakable path,
