I am not mad.
"Poetic Traditions Poetry Contest

"my entry"

I am not mad; surely, I'm not--
rolling on the floor is normal.
It's just too bad that I got caught.

People roll all the time, a lot;
you need not be geothermal;
I am not mad; surely, I'm not--

I wiped out that dark ink blot,
for which you named me abnormal;
it's just too bad that I got caught.

I'm really sorry we fought,
but I thought it was minimal;
I am not mad; surely, I'm not--

There's no need to spew all that rot
'cause you think me paroxysmal;
it's just too bad that I got caught.

There's no need for you to be fraught
about dark fear that is primal.
I am not mad; surely, I'm not--
it's just too bad that I got caught.
