Realization

Honestly just something I wrote.

I was stupid.
Blinded by a love for someone I did not know.
Blinded with a desperation from persistent solitude.
Surrounded by misunderstandings,
Darkness perceived as light.
A Broken soul,
Searching for another.
There it stood.
The exterior glowed with a dark, black beauty,
One I could not fathom.
I fell.
I kept falling.
A bottomless pit of an eternal drop.
I hit the ground.
Darkness cannot exist without light.
And a shadow will never be that bright.
