"Keep at it Sue, you're a whiz when it comes to writing prompts, what's today's prompt?"
"Just three words - bone, paint, and music. I can get a story, with the words paint and music, but the word bone?
The instructor must stay awake at night thinking up this stuff."
"Use word association, Sue, what words go with the word bone? Umm, let's see - head, china, yard, there's more."
"I tried and I still couldn't come up with anything. Then, I went down a real rabbit trail; a story with Leonardo da vinci, his
painting the "Mona Lisa," paint used sfumato style, and then I threw in Nat King Cole, the music prompt, you know he
sang "Mona Lisa." After that, I hit a snag; how I could use the word bone in the story. All of this swirled in my brain and
I got a headache."
"Sue, I believe you will get it, just hang in there. Remember the time you nailed the story, using the prompt words - cotton candy,
alligator, and shaving cream?" Go, deep in your mind, let the words percolate, just sit with it for a while; I know you will come up
"Ok, maybe one more attempt, but I like the thought of sitting with it for a while; all of this thinking has worn me out." Do you have
any more words of wisdom?"
"Yea, but I don't know if you want to hear it; you can get this story, all you have to do is, put your mind to it, and start
digging up bone.
