Love at first Sight

I just knew I was going to fall in love.
On this day touched from God above.
I sure underestimated that first moment
meeting this bundle of joy heaven sent.

Suddenly, taken back, with surprise
my first look into my Grand baby's eyes
My heart soared, it's beat quickened
my world now forever brightened.

I had an emotional overload - in fact
Never knowing that I would react,
like a blubbering, star struck kid
Or that I'd cry happy tears, but I did!

The first look into those eyes will never be forgotten
I hear the first Grandchild tends to be spoiled rotten
Oh darn, what a bother to be saddled with such a curse.
Grand kids are such fun; I should have had them first
