A drinker's mascot sometimes seen outside bars in Japan
Tanukis are loved,
For even without the wind,
Their giant balls sway.


Tanukis are raccoon dogs. Real creatures, but they also appear in folklore as mischievous animals that trick travelers. They can change form, but they retain their tail and must hide it.
