There is no difference between the two Illnesses.
So earlier, I posted a status that stated
"It's crazy how they separate physical illness and mental illness."
And I'm not sure if some understood as to what I was saying or not.
Now let's say someone's leg was chopped off. We would immediately rush them to the hospital. Correct?!
So why is it that if someone has Schizophrenia, and they are hearing voices say for them to kill someone or themselves, we don't make sure that they seek medical attention? Yes, they aren't bleeding out. However, they still have the potential to hurt and they are suffering. It just may not be as visible.
Now if someone has a migraine, we make sure that every thing is ok. And if need be go to a neurologist. But who cares if they have PTSD, Bipolar disorder, Anxiety, or any other metal disorders that you can't see, right ? Wrong. Wrong! Wrong! WRONG!
An illness is an illness whether you can see it or not. That person is suffering. And by you making it seem as though theirs isn't as important, you are saying you can careless for their suffering and pain.
