I AM THAT I AM

I am that I am, I am all that I've been,

That's all I can say, about all that I am

A man by the name of Descartes said, 'I think therefore I am'

A man by the name of Darwin said, 'Only the strong survive'

A man by the name of Einstein said, 'Its relative to perspective'

In all that I have learned, in all that I've been told,

It comes down to that, that I am.

Life flows through my body as blood flows through my veins

My soul is in all I believe as I move from myself

I see the world around me, I see me in the world,

In all that I've seen, in all that I've done,

It always comes down to becoming,

That thing that I am.

What I've been before,

Has passed to rest.

Having dues mingled evermore,

Still, the difference makes the best.

My life is but a path,

In constant becoming,

That, that I am
