Plea to an old friend to make me feel welcome.
Darkness, my old friend!

Come, sit by me
It's been so long
and there's so much
I have to say.
You'd listen,
won't you, My friend?

Listen, as I speak
void of words
in utter silence.
I know
you'll understand it all,
for you're too
fluent in silence,
as am I.

Watch, as I strip
of all my lies,
break down my walls
and show you my true-self.

Never once
could I ever understand,
if there's pain in comfort
or comfort in pain.
So hold me, ever so light
when I'm done.
Engulf me, in thyself.
Make me feel at home.
