A piece I wrote for class.
Sometimes I feel like something so useless,
your love better used elsewhere, but when I think of
all the pain I went through just to please you,
I can’t help but change my purpose just to better suit you.

Bend me into something you can use, this way I don’t feel so unused.

Make me into the jacket on your back,
so when you feel cold I’ll be there to hold you.
Break me into the soles under your feet,
so I can be that support you needed but never had.

Mold me into a picture frame sat beside your bed.
It may hold a picture of him, or at least of someone
who did it better than I ever could.

At least I know you’ll be happy.
