Reality

Life of struggles.

Broken hearts in a broken home,
A struggling mother and an absent father,
A difficult child with issues left untreated,
Scraping a living out of nothing.

Tensions rise as the child grows,
Men don't stay,
Money gets tight,
The child's grades slip lower,
No rest for mother.

Now mother is at the end of her rope,
And the child must take the reins,
Will they sink or swim no one knows,
Their success rests with them.
