A poem about a girl I once knew, written a long time ago.

MUSE

The voice of the wind calls out

I respond - a little too late

Bound by love

And hate for it

I enter battle, armed with passion
Far more powerful

Than I can ever hope to be

A whisper of loneliness

Singing sadly to the sun

Found its way across the ocean and into the eyes of a dreamer

Who prayed to his gods for the strength

To vanquish the beautiful enemy of innocence
