No differences between us
One Finger At The World

Kathleen McNamara

Again, you point them out
Those singular things that so annoy you
Our appearance
Our thinking
Not your way

Frustration evident in your voice
Disdain on display, but why
Our looks are splendid
Our thinking just different
Not your way

We shake our heads
Pity in our eyes
Why can you not see
Those three fingers pointing
Squarely back at you

Is that the root of your frustration
The fuel for your disdain
You are simply like us
Too much to admit
It's not your way
