We’d shoot the moon together.

If only for a moment

We’d lose time in each other.

It was unexpected
Not part of any plan

You shook me to the roots
You rattled my tree

That’s what you did for me.

But life is uncharted
Treasure along the way
Some you get to keep
Some will slip away.

If only things were different
