A Deten poem
Lost and Found: My Heart

the pup
looked scrawny;
made friends with me;
he jumped up,
chilly.

Lost and Found: My Heart

he let me wash
his sooty, scruffy fur;
his coat was bright, clean and shiny;
he took a treat by gosh!
gently, eyes blur.

Lost and Found: My Heart

his tag
bears my name;
eyes take whiney
soft brown aim-
heart snagged.
