About the joys of small children in a mother's eyes
Sounds of pitter-pattering of little feet;
Handprints on the patio door or the bathroom mirror;
Messy faces at mealtime;
Giggles exchanged during play;
Eyes closed, peacefully sleeping;
Sleeping as the moonlight peeks in during the night;
What seems like a lifetime is only an illusion;
Grains of sand slipping through my hands.
