My welcome page for my new website.
| I am your Virtual Mentor. I stand with authors-both self-published and traditionally published-that have struggled with building their writing business without support from those around them. I stand with you.
My movement is born out of my own writing journey. I struggled to find support in a community that had a very small literary community. I struggled to find magazines in which to publish my work and get noticed. Most of the local magazines that I had access to accepted literary fiction, and I wrote genre fiction. I finally wrote a book but did not find a publisher. I was at a loss about how to find my audience. I have been there.
The message I want to shout from the rooftops is: Writers are business people too. They sell their work. Writers just find readers as opposed to clients. They want to share their work with the world. Therefore, writers need support in setting up their online presence and getting their work out there. Writers are not starving artists. Many authors have made a good living with their craft.
I believe this is true for these reasons:
1)Books are for everyone. They are a sellable commodity.
2)Authors strive to write what their reader’s want to read. They work to take care of their readers.
I believe it can make the world a better place because culture is very important to any community. What we have to express shapes what a culture is and what it becomes. We need to share with the world who we are as people and who we are as a community. Authors should be a huge part of that.
Let me give you support you need and answer the questions that you have. We all need guidance and help. I will be there for you and your writing.
