Daily Poem for Dec 18, 2017 : Prompt Shooting Star

So Far Away

Marking the evening sky
with its travel,
a trail of magic
passed overhead just now.

The wonder
of light
in this winter night
directs my heart
to think of you.
The brief encounter
carries a wish
I dare not voice.

Oh shooting star,
carry my silent words
across the sky.
