To show you just how powerful a prayer can be. |
| The Christmas Prayer By Teresa Blakely There was once a little girl named Pricilla The bluest big eyes you’d ever seen Long blonde curls down to her shoulders. She had been very concerned about her momma For she was very sick and couldn’t get out of bed, Her daddy seemed so upset. The nurses ran in and the doctor did too She heard him say, it won’t be long now What can this mean, she thought. She went up to her daddy and slipped her tiny hand in his She looked in his eyes as tears streamed down his face She asked, "What does that mean daddy?" He told her in the softest of words that he knew how, "Mommy is going to Heaven to see the Angels and to meet our Lord God." As Pricilla eased up to her momma’s side She kneeled on her tiny knees to pray "Lord above I ask you please on this Christmas day That you let my momma stay here with me." As she finished with her Amen Her momma spoke out loud, "My dear Angel God from above has a message for you. Thank you my dear child for believing in me." |
