Without you here in my home,
my heart has an empty void.
Love that once lived within
is no longer anywhere to be found.

Tears of regret fill sapphire eyes,
even knowing there was nothing I could do.
Heartbreak was sure to follow me;
it didn’t matter how far I would run.

Without you here next to me,
there is no celebration of good times.
Only memories of us together remain;
days are now full of hurt and loss.

Friends may call and check on me,
but it’s not the same as family being near.
I long for the days to come when we will
once again be a family united in love.

Without you here with joyful laughter,
my days are filled with empty tears.
Happiness no longer lives within these walls
since the day that you were taken away.
