A short rhyme for reason.
Did you look to the sky?
Did you look to the sea?
Was it in a flower,
Or high in a tree?

Did you look with your friends?
Did you look with your kin?
Was it in an embrace,
Or in a sweet grin?

Did you find it in gifts?
Did you find it by road?
Was it there on the shelves,
Or is it not sold?

Did trusting create it?
Did children beget it?
Was the path the real goal,
Or did you regret it?

Did you look to a lamp,
But no genie was there?
The bottle was empty,
Twas nothing but air.

Now look in a mirror,
And look into those eyes,
Look not for the answers,
Just look, and that’s why.
