she guards the gate
with rusted hinges
her wooden toys
all the pictures
death and decay
it’s born again
Mythic House
stands quiet sentry

cold her metal
fired her wood
The Window Room
bears final witness
what is and was
and yets to be,
what’s once departed
never leaves

soon Summer passes
sleeps in forest lanes
vernal woods
deserted rough-planked
farmer's houses
horse high heads
steer his way
through Death and bone and earth's decay

camera stands on hallowed ground
rotted bodies (lie) end to end
tips of fingers once proud flesh
maggot's food
their dead still breath
captured by the window room
framed body-parts
frozen Art (hold still)
