A poem for Little Libraries everywhere
Take Wing

Pound in the stake
Test that it's steady
Give it a shake
Make sure it's ready.

A simple glass door
Not meant for birds
A box, nothing more
Yet it holds all the words

Gather them all
From shelves where they hide
Big ones and small
Then perch them inside

My curious eyes
Peer inside to see
A magic surprise
Words waiting for me

Open up, let them fly
I can't wait to start
Take wing, little words
You may nest in my heart

Loosely inspired by [Order Where the Watermelons Grow from Amazon.Com] , a wonderful book I am reading right now (an Advanced Reader Copy because it isn't out yet).
