Does time really heal?

I guess only time will tell

You stupid fool, you will never turn out to be
Anything productive, just a menace to society!
...From the lips of my mother I heard these damning blows

You foolish woman, why did I waste my life?
The biggest regret ever was making you my wife!
...From the lips of my dear love these words pierced my chest

A precious soul blooming inside of a womb
But all of her glory suddenly passed on to a tomb
...Just a mother's pain that will soon pass one day?

The punch of his fist tormented my very being
Still I prayed every day for one minute of healing
...But alas I stand, defending my life with scant power

So now, all of the years have gone by
Still it feels like only yesterday that I cried
....So does time really heal?
