mom, grandma, great grandma...last day with family.
Carry On

Visiting mom in the family room as she sits in a wheel chair next to sister, I notice her listening to all the family chitter chatter.
She sits with eyes closed and smile on her face. Opening her eyes every now and then to scan the room filled with family, young and old. Family she watched over as she grew old. She listens to all the stories being told. No comments from her, she just listened. Every now and then, she would open her eyes and smile.
Suddenly she bows her head for a moment, as though she was saying Amen. Then insisted that someone take her to her room. As brother walks over to guide her, a room full of joy and chatter
all of a sudden became quiet and full of gloom.
But as she was being pushed toward the door with her eyes so weak and a smile so bright, she turned and said carry on.
I'm alright.

With all my love, missing Muh,
