A poem about the ocean, a place I visit when I'm troubled
The ocean, is my escape
My favourite place, the perfect landscape
To feel the sand around my feet
Helps me feel, to an utmost complete
A gaze upon the horizon
As the water reaches me, I feel like I'm poseidon
The salty smell, lingers in the air
Dissolves my worries, not even a care
Seeking no comfort on land
But finding lost treasures in the sand
Forget about heaven and hell
Instead attain peace, in finding a seashell
Across the ocean, blue and grey
Our hidden message, we convey
The peeking sun
Allures me to have fun
It doesn't matter if I'm alone
With the ocean, I feel I'm on a throne
As I leave with now, a heavy heart
I can't help but curse, our distance apart
