I am always amazed that the busier life gets
And the busier I am
I still manage to get it all done
I keep my head above water
And instead of struggling
I actually get to enjoy the swim
If I just let myself enjoy the moments.
Challenges force us to grow
And we were never meant
Sit still, waiting to wither and die
We were meant to stretch
Get out of our comfort zone
And push that little bit more
To see what it is that we
Can really do
I will admit
I like the satisfaction
Of having accomplished
Something I didn't know I could do
Accumulating knowledge
That I never held before
Knowledge that now builds
Me up from the inside out
New bits are reassembled
And assimilated into the whole
And I am different
In small subtle ways
Growth....
Whether from forced external factors
Or from our own curiosity
Sustains us and brings us
Closer to being one with the universe
It opens us up to the possibilities
And makes us willing to risk again
Just to feel the rush of adrenaline
As it moves us forward
In our lives.
