a short poem about unloading life
|I Don’t Mind
I don’t mind you can’t sleep today.
It doesn’t matter, your mistake.
I don’t mind, I love the games you play.
That sounds like something I would say.
I can’t live sad or breathing fire.
There is simply not enough desire.
The world keeps spinning draped in mire.
No hooks to grab, no sale, no buyer.
I don’t mind if you drown in sorrow.
A brighter day for me tomorrow.
I don’t mind and no tears to borrow.
No more leaves for me to follow.
Time will bring a reckoning score.
The likes of never seen before.
Mine eyes have shopped that glorious store.
My life at peace and not at war.
I don’t mind if I look like my age.
I live unbound, not in that cage.
I said my lines, said all the rage.
Exit right or left, then torch the stage.
