I wonder what you will call it.
REVENGE OR JUSTICE
He was headed for the town of Corruption,
With a jade handled dagger that day
Someone had killed the woman he loved,
That someone he’d find and make pay.
Stopped at the first bar he encountered,
Foul smelling was the air in there
Asked if anyone knew who killed Mary Ann,
It was plain, if they did they didn’t care.
Their indifference made his blood run cold,
He asked the question once more
Hearing the reply behind where he stood,
From the shadows back by the door.
It was me, who killed the gypsy you speak of,
I break all the rules I can’t bend
Now you’ve found the one you were searching,
What are your plans for your end?
Like lightning, it slashed the smoke filled room,
The big man’s heart caught the dagger
In a murderous rage he’d charged forward,
Then slipped and began to stagger
The murderer was fast approaching his end,
And like a giant oak tree he fell
He would pay for his crimes many more times,
As his essence of life went to Hell
The stranger retrieved the jade handled dagger,
Then on his black horse rode away,
Leaving some to believe justice he brought,
While others, “It was revenge” would say.
