Fade Away

A simple poem about heartbreak and its motions but soon overcoming it.

I sit and I ponder the reasons why,
My mind is blank and my heart is broken,
My entire world seems to pass me by,
The words inside will never be spoken.

Alone at night, I lay in bed and think,
How can someone just take it all away?
Your name is written on my heart in ink,
My hope is that your name will fade someday.

This is not how I want to live my life,
I never want to feel this way again!
It is like you cut my heart with a knife,
My heart will heal, but I do not know when.

I am ready to forgive and forget,
A new journey in my life, has been set.
