do not impose the expectation of perfection upon the object of your affection

Idealization Kills Infatuation

When love and infatuation ignite

A person dreams and thinks of nothing more

Than for who one pines- 'till the mind is sore

But nothing ever burns forever bright

One builds the other up within one's mind

Be it or not who they are at the core

Until that image leaves it's owner poor

And the one that one seeks one will not find

One can live together unhappily

Resentfully taking the others hand

Feeling like one has lost some sort of bet

Or one can leave, but not too merrily,

Recalling all the time lost in that trance

Silently wishing two had never met.
