For April to bring Spring, Winter must leave. What about his feelings?
April, April, blah, blah, blah.
That's all I ever hear.
"Spring's arrived, spring's arrived."
Blow it our your ear.

April isn't the nice, sweet month,
You all make her to be.
Let me twist your ear a sec.
Here's what she's done to me.

Every year, about that time,
I appear to your delight.
I work so hard and diligent,
To paint your whole world white.

You shout with joy, both girl and boy,
At the wonders that I bring.
Snowball fights and Christmas carols,
You all gather 'round to sing.

Then time passes and the fresh white snow,
has gotten hard and stale.
And by the end of February,
I start hearing, without fail.

"Winter sucks." "I hate the cold."
"Will this season ever end?"
When not just eight short weeks ago,
I was everybody's friend.

Now March storms in with a lions roar,
and everyone rejoices.
"In like a lion, out like a lamb,"
Oh I hate those arrogant voices.

Then what do you know, "I'll melt the snow".
Miss thing comes strolling in.
In a fresh green dress, and golden hair,
"It's time for spring to begin".

So you might say April's your favorite month,
The bringer of warmth and sun.
But for me April is a horrible witch.
She takes away all my fun.

April banishes me for eight long months,
To places you'll never know.
Where my cold can't freeze and my dark is lit,
And my north winds refuse to blow.
