Have you ever had that feeling something bad was going to happen.
I woke up this morning to my last sunrise.
(I am going to die today.)
It was beautiful.
I wish I'd spent more time with it.

I went down for breakfast, my last.
(Because I am going to die today.)
It was the same as I always have.
Nothing special. I'm going to miss it.

My wife made a comment that irritated me.
We fought, and I left for work angry.
Wish we hadn't. Won't be able to take it back.
(Because I am going to die today.)

I get in my car. It's old with some rust.
I want to trade it in.
(I am going to die today.)
So that doesn't matter. Nothing does.

I get on the freeway to head to the office.
I pull into rush hour traffic.
(I am going to die today.)
So this will be the last time.

I need gas. Crap.
I pull off the free way.
(I am going to die today.)
So it will be my last fill up.

I go in to pay for my gas.
I get out my credit card.
(I am going to die today.)
One less bill to worry about.

The guy in front of me is saying something to the cashier.
He pulls out a gun,
it's pointing at me.

I died today.
