Even ashes of lovers find no rest
for love, unrequited, condemns the soul
to wander forever though it be blessed.
No sanctions of God or man have control.

Love is a force that extends beyond death.
Like a bright beacon, it calls from beyond
ignoring the limits of a final breath
compelling a searching soul to respond.

Beware the trap that is set by the heart.
Once it has borne love it cannot rest.
Acknowledge love though it tears you apart
for only in silence will you fail love’s test.
