Poem about defamation and overcoming the effects. |
| Self righteous hypocrites, Cunning hypnotists, Going about with the face of innocence, persona of victimisation. Forever fooling others with your gift of persuasion. Her mind splits in two, one part anger and one release. Fighting daily to resist the call of the deceased. Freedom from the chains forged by your cruelty. Enslaved by your hatred, the result of your promiscuity. Grief stricken and blamed, The scorching blade of your lies branding her skin Alone and ashamed Unable to find who she is within. You sought to tare her down when she found her smile, Your pride and ego destroyed There will come a day when you shall fall When that day comes, so will end her trial. She will rise again from the abyss, A Phoenix from the ashes, You will be forgiven, though your deeds never forgotten Your lies she will eventually dismiss. A beautiful creature will sit within the branches There she'll wait for the day you become downtrodden. |
