Hello again, a little late. Apologies especially that this is not as complete as usual, but doing eleven time zones in 24 hours on Saturday threw me off. Good news, though. I did finish it still during Monday!
Just a short Feature this month, but still good reads in the Picks and Welcome new bloggers. Also, remember "The Blog Board" to post your interesting blog entries as some are doing.
Keep on Bloggin'!
No Time to Blog
by Wordsmitty ✍️
Blogging takes time, and it's rarely a top priority. Just something to do and have. We usually don't proof or edit, and it isn't formal or submitted for "publication." So when the old blog starts collecting dust, we don't rush dusting it off and start sneezing.
Life is full of real things besides words on a page. We become exhasuted by the time we've checked off the to-do list down to where blogging sits, somehwre after "Finish the novel chapter." "There's always tomorrow," we tell ourselves. And yet, time might be scheduled and blogging moved up that list especially if it is part of our career as a writer.
You'll notice in the Welcome section that we also "welcome back" bloggers who've taken a long break and returned. Lots of us take shorter breaks. Even serious bloggers and those doing blogging events (see below) take breaks just to re-energize.
Time is the master of us all (I'm sure someone made that a famous quote, but I'm pinched to get this done quickly to look it up). It isn't bad if time trampled your blogging, but don't give up. Blogs don't have to be long entries with detailed planning involved. A few words can mean a lot (maybe my brain is swamped with cliches today).
Blog when you can, what you can, and don't stress about it. You'll find that makes the best entry and time will part when you do.
Blogs may be restricted to Upgraded Authors and higher. These entries may have a lower content rating than the overall blog.

Time is on your side. Really. Of course, you have to manage it. OK. Okay. I know. Management isn't easy in your hectic world. If only your thoughts could get onto the page while you're mindlessly doing stuff like mowing the lawn, driving to work, taking a shower, or listening to a boring lecture or in a meeting. (Maybe that last doesn't count since you can type stuff and they think you're taking notes. Oh, well.)
Still no process to get brainwaves to material written words, but you can set a schedule such as having that clock go off a few minutes early or easing up on that TV show. A few minutes just once a week shouldn't be that hard if you have a reminder. That's the problem, the mind doesn't remember when it is speeding along through the day.
Almost every phone has an alarm or calendar capability to give an alert. Set it to go off to get out of that meeting saying there's an emergency to handle. Keeing your sanity from the mind-sucking boredom should be an emergency. And what better relief than taking it out in your blog.
If you really want to keep your blog going, time can help. Just keep it in line.
