a poem about a dear friend
James the Jim
Transparent enigma with the coyest grin
Have you known, met, or even just seen him?
You’d remember even if you don’t know his name
In his presence is the Creator’s amiable whim
Makes one think he is a man of fame
His smile gives the sense once revealed of a win
Though it does leave a want, no, a need to hear
his laugh and tickled voice that will warm
as the hug that encompasses extinguishing any fear
the once soldier can now do no harm
Taken together there is too much to say
The blend of which gives a large helping of charm
Difficulty remains over parting with him in any way
