I Love Me, Too

A silly song/poem I wrote just because I was bored. It is meant to make you laugh.

"Every time you said, "I love you"
I said, "Me, too"
Now I realise that I meant
I love me, too

Now I know that I don't need you
Now that I have awakened my senses
You mean nothing to me
I don't need you

I was mistaken before
I fell for your spell
Like all the other men
But now when I think back

Every time you said, "I love you"
I said "Me, too"
I never loved you
I realised it too late

I only like you
You can go your own way
I'll follow my own path
And I hope we never meet again

Because every time you said, "I love you"
I said, "Me, too"
Now I realise that I meant
I love me, too.
