One Desire

Just a thought of someone I saw today. Trying to find the words for this person.

One Desire

If you ask me

Rage will answer in the distance

But I will reply softly with my lips.

If you hear me, then you are listening

If not, let rage take the question

And demolish it into a million pieces

And snuff it down a hole

And bury it.

These are the attributes of a soul

That has been judged and thrown into a dark space

Marking time

Seeking light

In blindness I fumble

Trying not to stumble

Into the pit of hopelessness

But I take that one fine thread of hope

And build a rope

And pull myself to the safety of silence

NO, I'm not violent

I just like peace

While I try to seek

And find

Myself.
