My perspective of life under the Apartheid Government of South Africa
Whites Only

In parks
at pools
in post offices
the signs read: Whites Only

whites at sports facilities
whites at the cinemas
whites in the restaurants
the signs read: Whites Only

But in our pretty homes
smiling black servants
polished our shoes
made our beds
cleaned and tidied
did our laundry
cooked our meals
washed our dishes
from 7 in the morning to 7 at night
happy to have their jobs.
