A twisted couplet for a contest, 3rd place winner in Twisted Traditional Poetry Contest.
Lovely fancies, those did her tempt.
To an unknown world dazzling, kempt;
Landed she, emptiness undreamt.
To escape she made an attempt.
Ludicrous whims met with contempt;
Tears rolling, she did preempt;
Loads of wild notions she once dreamt.
