| Two Poems for Baby and Mom
Life nestled in life,
All your trust is in me.
A tiny whisper of love
And of what is to be.
A warm secret for two...
And now Daddy makes three.
WHO WILL YOU BE?
Very tiny life within
Who will you be as you begin?
I hold no power but am just a portal
For your beginning as a mortal.
You're leaving a world of shining glory,
And will begin now to write your own story.
All the pages are clean, fresh and new,
What is written there depends on you.
But not entirely because we mold
Your foundation of clay-like gold.
But gold is fragile...Lord, help me remember
To shape you with hands both firm and tender.
